Steve Wood

Chief Executive Officer

Steve Wood is the CEO and co-founder of Keystone Infrastructure, an AI infrastructure platform that finances, owns, and operates GPU deployments through integrated partnerships with established data-center operators, equipment OEMs, and institutional capital. Keystone's thesis—more value per megawatt—aligns compute, power, cooling, heat reuse, and community value into a single disciplined platform.

Regenerative computing

Across more than 35 years and 75 countries, Steve has built and led sustainable high-performance computing, energy systems, and finance organizations. He previously served as CEO of Krambu and Paradox Infrastructure, where he pioneered climate-positive data centers purpose-built for AI, Bitcoin mining, and dense cloud workloads—combining proprietary cooling fluids, thermophotovoltaic energy recovery, and efficiency-driven firmware to advance industrial symbiosis that turns waste heat into agricultural and community resources. That work became the design DNA behind Keystone's regenerative infrastructure model.

Global operations and finance

Earlier, Steve led business development at Pyrotek, Inc., championing growth initiatives across industrial markets, before serving as CEO of Merkle Standard and as Chief Financial Officer at Ponderay Data & Industries, where he directed multinational ERP integrations, structured and closed business acquisitions, and led enterprise-scale financial operations across jurisdictions. His combined expertise across finance, global operations, IT, and energy reuse has helped set practical standards for scalable, sustainable infrastructure.

Leadership philosophy

Steve's thought leadership has appeared in outlets including the International Business Times, and he is a frequent voice on the role of regenerative growth in rural and industrial communities. A disciplined, Good to Great culture is the throughline of his leadership—instilled first at Pyrotek and carried into every organization since—because infrastructure that compounds for customers, investors, and host communities is built by teams that have learned to do the hard things consistently. His work reflects a conviction that the next generation of compute infrastructure can—and should—be a net contributor to the regions it inhabits, returning energy, capital, and opportunity to communities often left at the margins of the digital economy.
